The Universal Cards

Setting the Scene With Corona chaos gripping the land we have all been starved for Warhammer Underworlds content. Thankfully Games Workshop have managed to deliver the next two expansions which feel like a breath of fresh air to a community drowning in a sea of apathy. Steel City are here to offer our take on... Warband Review: Morgwaeths Blade Coven

Morgwaeths Blade Coven Shadespire had the Bloodreavers, Nightvault had the Godsworn Hunt, now it’s time for the Beastgraves take on fast but fragile aggression! I’ve been hyped for these agile and acrobatic death dealers since they were first teased, as they looked like exactly the kind of warband I enjoy playing. With high wound tough... Continue Reading →

Morgok’s Krushing Da Meta

Early Words GW dropped a bomb on Facebook yesterday by revealing (almost) all of the cards from one of the two new expansions. Our top Steel City talent (I can't say this with a straight face) have been hard at work pouring over every single detail on display in those images. This article is a... Continue Reading →

Lockdown in the Steel City

Disclaimer: I wrote this before the roadmap had been released. Apologies its not quite as topical. Government Mandated Update In a desperate bid to kick-start the economy, Rishi Sunak called our ‘offices’ directly last night, here is a short transcript of the call: “I would like to speak to the head of Steel City Underworlds.”... Deck-build: The Wurmspat

(Grand)Daddies Home Having lumbered their way through two large online tournaments, the Wurmspat have maintained a somewhat staggeringly good win-rate despite many nay-sayers nay-saying nay along the way. The warband fighter cards have proved more than a match for the field, especially with enough good universal objectives and gambits existing to patch up the holes... Continue Reading →

Deck Build: The Troll Unleashed

Look at the shiny new image. Steel City are starting to up our game... Intro Phew. It's been a while. Apologies for the shocking lack of content over the past few months, there is really no one but myself to blame (and Tom, I can always blame Tom). I'd like to trot out the tired... Is the Lockdown Meta Better?

What does the meta look like with Hrothgorn and the Wurmspat now firmly part of the Beastgrave. Stuck inside many of us have been crafting decks using two expansions we had very little chance to get to grips with. I hope to give a quick run over some of the decks and strategies that have been brewed by the trapped denizens of the underworlds, in the hope to inspire many more new and creative builds! Are we still in an objective meta? Maybe.
